335 SOUTH HALSTED STREET
My dear Mrs Denison
Your good letter cheered me very much and I wish with all my heart that I might accept your cordial invitation.
This week I have been entirely absorbed in my niece's affairs -- too absorbed in fact to even read my letters, and next week I open the Summer School at Rockford.
Perhaps later in the summer when I visit Mrs Wilmarth at Lake Geneva. I will have pleasure of seeing you, and I assure you that it would be a very genuine pleasure.
With many thanks for your hospitality both retrospective and prospective.
I am faithfully yours
