Dear Miss Addams:

Enclosed is my first draft of the main text of the annual report for 1912-13. I should be ever so glad if you can run through it and get it back to me, with outspoken criticism, by Wednesday of next week, as we want to incorporate it in the issue of November 22.

It will of course be accompanied by various matter-of-fact tables and lists of contributors, <financial statements> etc., as in other years. It is published as "A Statement by the Editors of The Survey, in behalf of Survey Associates."

Sincerely yours

Miss Jane Addams
Hull House, Chicago

P.S. I am enclosing proof of your thumb-nail biography which will appear in the list of staff members. You O.K.'d the copy for this last fall, but I do not feel that it is quite up to date. This was boiled down from the notes in "Who's Who" for last year. Won't you add some of your important committee connections -- avocations -- such as your connection with the National Federation of Settlements. These are the things that Survey readers are much interested in.
