Dear Miss Addams:

Your letter of February 26th was duly received and noted.

We shall be glad to receive the announcement of "The Trojan Women" when it is ready. May I ask you to advise [i.e.] if it will be satisfactory to you for us to have check for $5000. made out and sent to you personally, as the understanding of our Executive Committee was that the disbursement of so much of this allotment as might be necessary should be under your personal supervision?

We have been conferring with Mr. Lincoln G. Dickey on the matter of lectures on subjects connected with our work during the coming summer, and he is to cooperate with us to some extent in making arrangements. Mr. Dickey will be in Chicago a little later in the month and we would be very glad if you would permit him to call on you and consult you in the matter.

Sincerely yours,

(signed) Henry S. Haskell
