My dear Miss Addams:
I have just received a letter from the executive secretary of the Woman's Peace Party, stating that you have selected me as a member of the Cooperating Council. I shall be very glad to accept this appointment and to do anything I can to help the work along, but I am so busy, as you well know, that I will not be able to give very much time to it. I am going to start for the South next week and it may be that while I am there I can interest a few people in the Party, and if there is any literature which I could give out for that purpose I will be very glad to use it if you will send it to me c/o Dr. Mary B. Jewett, Florence Villa, Florida, which will be my permanent address during my absence.
I hope the Peace Party is getting on its feet and that you may meet with the cooperation of the women all over the country.
Faithfully,
