Miss Jane Addams,
#800 S. Halsted Street,
Chicago.

My dear Miss Addams: --

I have your letter of May 9 with enclosures and will be glad to act for you in the West Virginia matter. It seemed to me from the discussion of this case at the New York meeting of the National Executive Committee that there was no course open to the party except to expel ex-Governor Dawson and to substitute for him Mr. Edwards. I have, therefore, voted accordingly and I am forwarding the ballots to Mr. Davis.

Sincerely yours,

Item Relations
