President Wilson has appointed an Industrial Commission consisting of the following persons, which will soon begin its investigations:

Mr. Frank P. Walsh, of Kansas City; Mr John R. Commons, University of Wisconsin; Mrs. J. Borden Harriman, New York City; Mr Frederick A. Delano, Chicago; Mr. Harris Weinstock, San Francisco; Mr. S. Thurston Ballard, Louisville; Mr. Austin B. Garretson, Iowa; Mr. John B. Lennon, Bloomington, Ill; Mr. James O'Connell, Washington, D.C.

I enclose statement of the powers of the bill showing its scope, for your guidance. The Progressive National Service is preparing a program of things which we believe should be done to be put up to this Commission. Will you send any suggestions you may have to us not later than August 1st, addressed to Donald Richberg, Director of the Legislative Reference Bureau. These suggestions should be specific giving reasons for the recommendations made.
