We have received and examined the contributions for the Cyclopedia which you have sent us. As these complete the list of articles which you have undertaken, we take pleasure in accepting them, and have notified the publishers accordingly. You will therefore shortly receive from them a check for the first half of the agreed payment, as shown in the list enclosed.
In due time, you will receive proofs of this article or articles. When the revised proofs are received, we will certify the second half of the payment.
