My dear Miss Addams:-
I had a very interesting interview with Blanche Bates a few days ago and she is definitely on our side re stage children. I am telegraphing her today to ask if she will write you a letter you can use for the Springfield fight.
She spoke more vigorously than any of us have against the abuse of children by such exploitation.
Down here fighting oyster packers, telegraph attorneys and general ignorance.
If you don't hear from Miss Bates in a few days I suggest you write telling her the fight you're having & that I have written of my encouraging interview with her & asking her to help you with a statement.
