My dear Alice

You know, do you not, of the birth of Esther's little daughter whom I am proud to say, is my namesake. 

Poor Esther, had a long dull time at the hospital with all sorts of premature labor, but the little girl arrived at last as fine as possible.

I will write again when I am less absorbed in the [page 2] Child Welfare Exhibit.

I do wish you could come on to see it. With love to Marcet and yourself, [Dear]  Always your loving sister J. A.
