My dear Miss Blackwell

There is no use trying to get anything about Russia in the Chicago Tribune. They will not only refuse to publish but will use the occasion to preach a sermon on Russia as such!

I am sending the material to The Christian Century on a chance, we will at least have sympathetic treatment and my experience is that the liberal weeklies [page 2] are better organs for such an appeal than the dailies are!

Dear Miss Blackwell I am so sorry to hear of your accident, a bone is so slow to heal and the process is apt to be so painful. May I express my affectionate sympathy. Always devotedly yours Jane Addams
