My dear Miss James: --

We will be delighted to do all we can to take over the responsibility for some foreign speakers in Wisconsin, and I will write you a little later as soon as our plans are further along.

I shall be very glad to come to Wisconsin to speak as often as I can and of course expect no pay for this beyond the defraying of my expenses. I could, of course, easily make an engagement for Milwaukee as that is so short a journey. I have a good many speaking engagements in April. I am giving a week to the Kansas campaign early in May, and would rather come to Wisconsin [sometime] in the summer. I have invitations to speak in Beloit and Janesville and [have] try to [accepted] them. I also go to Kenosha next week.

Perhaps if I come to Milwaukee to the meeting Mrs. Yeomans suggests I could see you then and we could make some definite plans!

With every possible good wish, I am
Sincerely yours,

Jane Addams [signed]

Miss Ada L. James
Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
