Dear Miss Addams,
Having returned from my last journey this summer -- to the meeting at the Danish-German frontier -- I long to have a talk with you. I am sorry it must be in this unsatisfactory way.
We had a very good time at Flensburg, Germany, two days, and at Sönderborg, Denmark, one day, with interesting addresses and discussions. The newspapers gave as a rule good reports. Our Estonian delegates were excellent. We had three: Miss Gerta Anderson from the Estonian majority, Mrs. v. Wahl from the German minority and Miss Vasa Barabalowa from the Russian minority. All of them spoke good German and Mrs. v. Wahl also talked Swedish very well. ↑Also Miss [Chenevix], Ireland, was there.↓
At our dinner the last evening there were many speeches, and for the first time in my experience we heard the Russian language in W.I.L., Miss Barabalowa giving us ↑a↓ [heartfelt] thank from the Baltic guests, interpreted by Mrs. v. Wah. [page 2]
Mrs. Beskow is invited to Estonia, and I hope she will go there already this fall.
I have to thank you for my happy days at the boundary. I had saved the money you sent me for Dublin and I think I could not have used them better than to take part in our first Minority Conference.
I enclose a copy of my paper on the information and missionary work. I am sending the same paper to Miss Balch and Miss Baber and long to have suggestions from you.
