Very dear Jane

I trust all goes well with you and with Miss Smith.

I fear you will think I am backing out all along the line but for various reasons I am giving up both Toronto and Geneva. As regards the former I am happy to learn that a Miss Jessie Gray "prominent in public school organizations" in Phila is going & will represent our Penn-Branch. I am having copies of our Policy and of the petition and other stuff sent to Miss Blake in care of [page 2] Agnes Macphail whom you doubtless remember (the Canadian M.P. who was at Wash.). I have just had a cordial reply to a note I wrote her when I expected to go.

Do you want to ask K. D. B. to represent us internationally or is it as well to let [it?] lies lie?

Her Maine address is Sky View, Boothbay Center Me or you could reach her Care Agnes C. Macphail Royal Cecil Hotel, Toronto.

As to Geneva is there anything we should do either to find another American representative or to explain our point of view on anything? It seems to me we at least touched on all the points we know about in our recent correspondence as to ↑U.S.↓ consultative members that is not [incumbent] on you or me.

Yours ever as you know

E G Balch
