Dear Miss Addams:

You may or may not know that Otis F. Glenn, the Republican candidate for Senator against Frank L. Smith, is a member of my law firm. He is an excellent man in every way and thoroughly capable. In my opinion he would be a worthy representative of our state in the Senate. He is a man of exemplary habits and incorruptibly honest.

If you can consistently do so, you might aid us in your own way in securing votes for him on April 10. I shall be glad to send you cards, etc., of which a sample is enclosed.

I would not dream of asking you personally to exert yourself, but hope you may be able to assist through your many aides.
