WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE FOR PEACE AND FREEDOM

Dear Emily Balch

I am all in favor of a longer stay in Europe versus Honolulu, [although] of course it would be too nice to have you there (in Honolulu).

I thought there was a prospect of changing the place of the March meeting from Lyons to Geneva, but that would make only a longer journey from Marseilles.

I am so glad that you are going to Palestine -- it is a wonderful place. We ought to have some help from the Zionist women. I must give a letter to Miss [Gold?]. [page 2] Alas I can't come east before April when I may attend a Natl settlement meeting in Boston, but now that is uncertain.

I am rather inclined to think that the English were right in raising the point of free speech, it must be straightened out some time. However I will write a real document later but am sending this on to tell you how glad I am that you can be there to help in this [crisis?] in W.I.L. affairs. You are the best one we have!

Always & forever devotedly yours

Jane Addams
