October 26, 1927.
Dear Miss Addams:
Mrs. Leach again invites the board of Survey Associates to hold their dinner meetings this year at her home (170 East 64th Street); and Judge Mack is calling the first meeting of the new year for Friday, November 18th, at seven o'clock. Election of officers, filling of vacancies, budgetary and editorial planning for the new year, all come before this meeting; and it is the first at which Mr. Gavit will be with us as secretary. I hope very much indeed that you can come. Won't you let me know whether we can expect you?
Meanwhile, may I remind you of our annual meeting Monday, October 31st, at 4:30, Miss Wald and Mr. Gavit speaking.
Today the auditors have passed our 15th annual financial statement. We had to keep our books open into mid-October to do it, but cleared with a final surplus of $1,178 --
$292 in our General Fund
$886 in our Graphic Founders Fund.
This last cuts down by a quarter the overhanging deficit in the latter fund, due largely to the [nonfulfillment] of pledges made to earlier years [totaling] $7,550. The overhang stands now at $2,741.
Sincerely,
