My dear Miss Breckinridge--
I thank you very much for the report of our educational friends which you sent to me and for many another kindness.
I have had a lot of literature from Mr Branson of which I am sending you a part. The letter seems so geniune that one would like to help out. Please give it space among your [page 2] files.
I have been writing in the most energetic manner upon "A New [Conscience] & An Ancient Evil" but I seem to have reached the point just now where I very much doubt the value of the whole thing.
