April 22 --

My dear Miss [Addams],

Our very charming Madame Naidu divided her time as usual between you & my little apt. that I feel that you might like a copy of a photo I took of her in her home town of Hyderabad, Deccan. You probably have her poems so perhaps you will like this to insert in the book. [Naidu] talked of you a great deal & of [page 2] her high regard for you & of her keen appreciation of your kindness & hospitality. This morning I received a delightful letter from her daughter Padmaja, still ill, but [fell?] [illegible] her mother had written concerning an American tour.

Sincerely yours

Carolyn Wicker.
