My dear Anna

I have first seen an account of your father's illness and I am sure you will let me write you and let me say how much you are in my mind and with what tenderness I think of you all.

Will you give my love to your mother, to your sister and to Alice Crocker and let me know if there is any thing [page 2] in the world we could do for any of you. I am sure you know how much I would prize the opportunity.

Will you let us know how the invalid is later and believe me devotedly yours
