How is Marcet getting on with the St. Louis heat -- perhaps the papers exaggerate the reports but it sounds quite fearsome.
Perhaps you and she could come up here after her engagement ends <in> September. I will probably be here until Oct 1st. You [page 2] see I am not willing to take the ban as an excuse. Mr & Mrs Woods are here from Boston, which with [five?] Hull-House people makes quite a jolly household.
Mrs Bowen is finding the summer sad, but is well and it is a comfort to be near her. With my best love to you Dear Always your loving sister
