Dear Dr Jacobs,

We think it would be very nice if you would sign the letter to the Chinese women, which I [enclose] -- as the founder of our League & because you are known to the women out there. Will you add your signature below on two? and leave space for J. A.'s at the top of the list.

And will you then please forward the letter for Miss Addams to sign if she approves & to send on without her signature if there is [anything?] in the terms of the letter which she does not want to put her signature -- but of course we hope very much that she will sign it herself.

I am very sorry that we have not been able to find out the correct name & address of the Federation of Chinese women. I am very sorry to put the trouble of doing this upon you, but you always know everything connected [page 2] with the feminist movement. So I expect [you] either have it or know where to find it.

I do hope your shoulder is mending satisfactorily & not giving you much pain. It was heroic of you to go on attending the Committee meetings. We all loved you for it.

Madame Duchêne & I & Vilma Glücklich worked hard here late Friday evening & Saturday without D. had to leave for Paris, & V. G. & I have been winding up all the rest of the urgent work yesterday & this morning. We have got out to all Ex. C. Members & nat Sections --  (but not to Consultative members, who will have to wait for their copies till M. D. gets back to Geneva).

1. Short statement for the Press

2. Letter giving the chief decisions of Ex. Com at Liège

3. Res & letter re China

4. Res & letter re French [mobilization] & Res. addressed to Sections

[written up left margin] Forgive a pencil scrawl in great haste before catching my train for England. My love to you, Catherine Marshall.
