I want to add my congratulations to the many you have received, and to send you my best wishes for many years of happiness & usefulness. I was thrilled when I learned [page 2] that fifteen hundred citizens of Chicago had met at a dinner to do you honor & I was told that many more were turned away because there were no more seats to be had. Your life has been an inspiration to many of us. I am proud to be able to sign [page 3] myself
