Dear Miss Addams,

The Czechoslovak-Section of the W.I.L. asked me to express you our best wishes for the coming New Year.

Last Summer has brought us a great pleasure knowing you in Europe, although we were not so happy to be able to [welcome] you in Czechoslovakia. We hope, you feel now well again after the hard time you had during the Congress at Dublin and Summer-school at Gland, and the New Year will meet you fresh and well at work.

We try to run our peace-work seriously, we had a great help in Mr. Masaryk's personality and our [endeavors] [page 2] towards peace in the world and better understanding between the nations in our country are [supported] by Mr. Beneš's activity at the League of Nations. Last year brought a reaction in our country; the next time will give us the opportunity to approve our readiness for the peace-work.

With sincere wishes

yours truly
