Mr. Henry P. Chandler,
308 N. Michigan Ave.,
Chicago, Ill.

My dear Mr. Chandler:

This will acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 29th instant, inviting me to participate as a member of the Citizens' Committee now being formed, to plan a dinner in honor of Miss Jane Addams, on Thursday evening, January 20th, 1927.

In reply, I wish to advise you that I consider it a privilege and honor to be a member of this Committee, and to assist you in making the event an occasion that will justly honor Miss Addams.

It was my privilege to become acquainted with Miss Addams about thirty five years ago. Throughout these years, I have learned that Miss Addams is one of America's greatest women, who has contributed immeasurably towards Americanization -- who rendered invaluable services toward educating American people of foreign birth and extraction to become good Americans and useful citizens. I am one of those Americans and am willing to testify to that.

With best wishes, I am

Sincerely yours,

P S Lambros [signed]
