Sunday afternoon

Dear Miss Addams: --

I am sending you a rough estimate of Congress expenses. You will see this pretty well cleans out the Congress fund, without leaving anything for the Wayfarer's Travel Agency. I think if you could deposit $500 in the Dublin bank Guinness Mahon & Co. -- 17 College Green, it would perhaps cover the Wayfarer's bill, -- surely with the additional $250 which you gave me & is in the bank ↑it would do so and↓ I would rather pay the Wayfarer's out of the Dublin [page 2] bank & not complicate our Geneva expenses if possible.

I am sending Flora Surles around to you to get the check & deposit it if you think wise.

I am looking forward eagerly to seeing you to in Geneva, I think you will find it restful there without the complications of the Congress. -- Life in the Maison and at Gland is simple & restful. Please give my warmest greetings to Mrs Lovett & Miss Smith. With much love & admiration for you --

Faithfully yours --

Madeleine Z. Doty

The other $25 you gave me to deposit I have already given in a check to Miss Bennett to pay to the woman who did the poster for the Congress.

Even if the Wayfarer's bill does run up to between $500 & $700 you will see that the whole Congress expenses are under $3,000 which is the estimate I originally gave you.
