WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE FOR PEACE AND FREEDOM
12, Rue du Vieux-Collège, Geneva, Switzerland
April 21, 1926.

To the Chairmen and Secretaries of all the National Sections.

Will you kindly attend to the following points at once.

1). All suggestions as to speakers at the Congress should [be] in by May 1st. Each Section is asked to suggest three speakers who are specially qualified on any one of the subjects to be discussed at the Congress.

2). Each National Section should prepare at once its report on "Next Steps Towards Peace" with a summary. The report must not exceed 5000 words and should reach Geneva headquarters by June 1st. Each National Section should keep a copy of the report and of the summary and be prepared to read the summary at an open Session of the Congress and speak in detail on the report before one or all of the three Commissions on Imperialism, Minorities and Militarism. (See suggestions for report attached.)

3). We wish to remind you again to send in the names of delegates if you have not already done so. Each National Section should send the Geneva Office as soon as possible the names of their delegates who will attend the Congress. Each Section is entitled to 20 delegates, 10 alternates and 2 Consultative Members.

4). Every Section is asked to do all it can to contribute to the expenses of the Congress. Try to raise money to pay the expenses of a delegate who could not go otherwise. Try to raise money to pay the travelling expenses or one of the speakers. To raise money give a luncheon and get each guest who comes to pay for her lunch. Then get each of your guests to give a luncheon in her turn and have each of her guests pay. Turn all the money received from the guests for the luncheons into the Congress Fund.

Please let us have a reply to this letter as soon as possible,
Faithfully yours,
Madeleine Z. Doty [signed]
International Secretary.
