Biographical Text

Avril de Sainte-Croix was a feminist, women's rights activist, and author. Sainte-Croix spent much of her life traveling but usually opted to maintain a residence in France. One of her most famous works, Le Féminisime, explored the role of French men and women in relation to feminist ideas of the time. She also wrote for publications local to Paris. Avril de Sainte-Croix died in 1939.

Sainte-Croix married François Avril in 1900. The couple had no children.
