My dear Mr Maddox

When I was in New York last week I called up Mr Frederick Keppel of the Carnegie Foundation about the Rockford College Library Building. He said what I already suspected, that they were not now doing libraries but he seemed very friendly to the College and said that if the college was interested in their "college art plan" that he would be very glad to take it up with the administration. They have been doing some very interesting things in that line as you may know; it might be very well worth while to get into communication with Mr Keppel.

Please excuse this hasty and badly written letter and believe me faithfully yours
