My dear Miss Addams:

Thank you so much for the letter from Miss Woods and later a copy of the letter sent to Miss Doty.

We understand perfectly about your not coming to Washington, and I almost hesitated to have them ask you. We always want you, but must remember that we cannot ask too much of our International President. I think that we have a pretty good program on such short notice, don't you? I am much interested that you said of your own accord, even without our fishing for the invitation, that you would like to have the Convention in Chicago. That is where I should love to come, but feared that Chicago had too big a dose W.I.L. last spring. I shall present the invitation with much pleasure at the Board meeting on Saturday.

How splendid that you are going to Mexico. I hope that it will be a real rest, and I know it will be a great pleasure.

I am going to Washington tomorrow to stay over the hearing. I shall write you promptly how it all turns out.

With love,

As always,
