Miss Jane Addams,
Hull-House,
800 S. Halsted Street,
Chicago, Ill.

My dear Miss Addams:

Your letter on October 29th, suggesting that we appoint Raymond Robins as our Chairman for the State of Illinois, was duly received.

Col. Robins has already been elected as one of our vice-presidents, whose work will be largely of a national character, and have suggested that he get in touch with you when in Chicago so that both of you might discuss this matter.

Mr. M. F. Dunlap of Jacksonville, Ill., a boyhood friend of Mr. Bryan and treasurer of our Association, ver [well known] to Mr. Robins, may likewise have some valuable suggestion in connection with organizing Illinois.

With very best wishes, beg to remain,
Yours very truly,
P. H. Callahan
M. J. Eble [signed by secretary]
Private Secretary.

(Mr. Callahan left the city after dictating the above, and was not here to sign this letter personally)
