Dear Madam:

I am directed by Mayor W. Freeland Kendrick, President of the Sesquicentennial International Exposition, to acknowledge your letter of April 3 and to express his sincere regret that you find it necessary to decline acceptance of his invitation to become a member of the National Honorary Committee in connection with the administration of the American Youth Award and the American Teacher Award.

Although we will not now have the honor of including you as a member of the Committee we would be grateful for your comment upon this plan to honor the youth and teachers of America. A copy of the Awards booklet has already been sent to you.

Very truly yours,
SESQUICENTENNIAL EXHIBITION ASSOCIATION
