Notes on Speech at the Women's Christian Temperance Union Meeting, Mexico City, March 1925

W.C.T.U. meeting -- in theater of the Preparatory school. 1500 children in one school, a nice old principal -- sat next to Mr [illegible name] of the Dept of Ed. a [mother's] chorus of 150. The children called out "Vica le Madres" -- national dances [etc.] children dressed very pretty as flowers. All number of temperance Societies. Children gave me [poppies?] [illegible] I afterward distributed to the mothers -- gave me a Mexican [tartan?] bag.
