Biographical Text

William John Burns was a detective, and eventually the director of the Bureau of Investigation. Burns was also involved in the Secret Service. After stepping down from the Bureau of Investigation, Burns had his own private investigation business in Florida.

William J. Burns married Annie Ressler in 1880. The couple had six children together. Burns died in 1932.
