My dear Professor Dodd:

I am enclosing a copy of a letter which I have just received from Mr. Herron. I do not know how correct he is in his survey of the situation and I have written him that I doubt whether he could do much to influence Borah and the others whom he mentioned.

I should be very glad to have your opinion about the wisdom of his coming. I used to know Mr. Herron very well, but have not seen him for very many years.
