Dear Miss Geddes

You have been so kind about sending us word of Miss Wald’s welfare and we are indeed grateful. She seems to be making a quite miraculous recovery and my only anxiety is lest she plunge into activity too soon. [page 2]

Of course everyone is boring her by advice which she will not heed. Perhaps there is some stern surgeon, or doctor, in the background who will insist on a reasonable convalescence.

Will you give my love to the patient.

With many thanks for your goodness about the bulletins.

I am very sincerely yours,
Mary Rozet Smith
