Miss Jane Addams
Chicago, Ill.
My Old Friend Miss Addams,
For various reasons I did not until yesterday give the picture, letter, Etc. to the "Jane Addams Triangle" of Worley School. Yesterday afternoon I gave them the informal address, a copy of which I am enclosing. I had this copy made for you, as I thought you might be interested to know what I said to them.
I might also add that I have a copy of this manuscript to Wilson Hawkins, who is the Superintendent of our Schools here, and he told me when he gave it back to me "Converse, that was a mighty interesting article and I read every word of it." The young ladies were very much pleased and delighted with the letter, picture, Etc., and I feel sure that if you could have stood before that group yesterday, you would agree with me that it was a mighty interesting, attractive group of young ladies that have honored themselves by taking your name. With continued best wishes, I remain
Courteously yours,
Clarence M. Converse [signed]
