My dear Mr Kellogg

You were much too good to me in your letter -- the change is coming very slowly but the changing opinion is a great comfort.

The Graphic is fine as usual, I was quite impressed by it and think it is stronger [without an] article which might have sounded like "We told you so."

Emily Balch has been here for several days and we have gone over the Congress affairs and reports.

She thinks the [enclosed] Mss. from France is very significant as showing how far (chronologically) France is behind us as we are behind England. I will send it along [page 2] with another [illegible] which I may have sent before.

We are having wonderful weather this summer, one glorious day after another. If [Tawney?] comes up to see us for the Williamstown School, I shall make another effort to get you.

With cordial greetings to Mrs Kellogg, I am faithfully yours

Jane Addams

P.S.

I have been quite impressed by the new [illegible] book, he was the foundation of the Toronto Conference.
