Dear Friend:
I am hoping very much that you can write an article for publication in Germany. Miss [Gertrud] Baer is not the type of person that I wish to ask to do this work, as I think it better to come from one who is a real American. We want to give a real message to the German people and I believe that if you can find time to write an article on race relationship, it would be very acceptable.
I am hoping to sail for Europe in about two weeks and your article can be translated and forwarded a little later than that, if you can find time to do it. I know that I am asking a great deal but I hope that for the sake of the work you can do it.
With all good wishes,
Yours sincerely,
Executive Secretary.
