My dear Myra

The Christmas boxes were so nice, I went to bed the day after with a wretched bronchitis which is still keeping me upstairs [although] I am much better. I have been eating a cake after each meal [dunked] in tea or coffee as the case may be. It is great fun to [illegible] them as well as to eat them.

The rest of the Xmas checks will come as soon as I am able to go down to the bank and ↑to do↓ several other things. I am glad the housekeeping arrangements have come out so well without needing to change the positions, but be sure to keep [someone] [illegible] to help you, there are two babies you know.

I am so glad Jane can go back to school. Please give kisses to all the family from your loving Aunt
