My dear Mrs. Trimble:
I should be very happy to go to St. Louis. I am not sure that I am equal to going on the Pax Special but I could go down from Chicago. Mrs. Taussig is an old friend of mine and I more than half promised to stand by the St. Louis meeting. Of course I should be glad to know the date when you know it yourself.
It seems to me that the Pax Special is doing finely. Long life to it.
Hastily yours,
Jane Addams [signed]
