My dear Miss Addams:
I expect to pass through Chicago about June 1. I should be delighted to meet my friends if convenient, and would like to make a public address, if practicable, with an honorarium big enough to pay local expenses, for without salaries one has to earn money occasionally. Probably Francis Neilson might be interested. "The Plight of Europe", "Americanization" or some topic of the times would do.
Very truly yours,
