The members of the Inter-Racial Committee in body assembled has instructed the secretary by unanimous vote, to send you an expression of their happiness as well as thankfulness, for your safe return.

Your welfare is of much concern to all your fellow citizens. We thank God that He has seen fit to spare you for further service to humanity -- Welcome, thrice welcome, and may you gather renewed physical strength to succor the source of your [indomitable] spirit.

We hope that this letter may convey in some small measure, the depth of our continued respect and good wishes for you.
