My dear Miss Jane Addams:

In view of our appreciation of you, and of your life work in connection with "Hull House" Chicago, and other philanthropic work our Woman's Christian Temperance Union, in session assembled, send greetings, love and sympathy, to you.

We are glad you are so near us, and hope your short stay in our [page 2] community may give you the much needed rest. We should like so much to see you, and to hear you talk, but we know that you must rest.

We pray God's richest blessings upon you in your great work. Sometime when you are here and well we hope to see and hear you.
