My dear Mr. Sinclair:

The Association of Commerce sent Mr. Cooley to Germany and other places to look into a type of Occupational School which some of us had challenged. The outcome, however, has been quite satisfactory. The details of the incident were never very interesting and by this time they have quite slipped my mind. When I last had occasion to look into the Continuation Schools -- Mr. Cooley is the Superintendent -- they seemed to be a very happy compromise between the two types.

I seem to have no material available for your book and am sure you wish a frank statement, inasmuch as  ↑I regret↓ I have ↑nothing interesting.↓

Faithfully yours,

Jane Addams
