My dear Mrs. Dewey:

Miss Addams wishes me to say that she has always wanted very much to go to Lake Placid, and she is very sorry that she will not be able to do so this year. The Board of Education continues its meetings late into the summer, and it will be necessary for her to be here quite constantly.
