In this same mail with the message below, I send to the Chairman a duplicate copy of the original model of a World Flag, shown above, an enlarged replica of which was presented to the Washington Disarmament Conference. I annex hereto copy of a message mailed herewith to each delegate of said Conference.
I believe we can find substantial unity in the proposition that each world conference, be its agenda civic, militaristic or purely economic, is intrinsically a gathering to a common ideal and to one world standard of the peoples of the earth, and hence but the turning over of another leaf in the story of the years, whose climax must ultimate in one world government, one political regime, one common flag.
It has seemed during the past year to be my privilege, to reach forth into the purely ideal and to bring such flag into concrete expression in the design I am herewith bringing to your valued consideration with the hope that it may meet with approbation from you sufficient for its adoption as the flag of your conference whose spirit, at least, it fundamentally symbolizes.
The history of this flag is sufficiently told in the annexed memoirs made up of letters and messages from its brief, but to us promising life.
