WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE FOR PEACE AND FREEDOM

My dear Mr Kellogg;

I properly read your letter last evening ↑for the first time↓ when the Christmas rush had somewhat subsided, and I find to my horror that I should have sent you Chapter III with Chapter VII. As I have already cut down VII perhaps you will cut down III with the statement please that parts of the chapters are given. All of the galley proof is here; I am sending parts of two chapters to The Christian Century, the best of our Chicago magazines I think but I am sure it will in no wise interfere with The Survey articles.

You have been awfully patient with me and I am sorry to have made so much bother about it all.

With every possible good wish for the New Year

I am faithfully yours

Jane Addams [signed]
