My dear Miss Latham:
We have traced the motion picture film of which you wrote on the twenty sixth of May, up several blind alleys. Mr E. L. Burchard who had charge of the Welfare Exhibit at which the film was shown in 1912 had made arrangements as to the actual taking of the picture, but referred us to Miss Dixon at the Chicago University as the School of Civics took charge of it after the exhibit. Miss Dixon looked in the archives of the School but it was not there, and she then referred us to the Chicago Commons thinking that Mr Maynard one of the Trustees of the School might have left it there. But Mr Maynard is in London and Mr Graham Taylor's secretary assured us that there was no School of Civics material at the Commons except for some reports of the Board of Trustees. None of the School people or the Exhibit people thought there was a synopsis, and they believe that the film was quite worn and probably discarded for that reason.
I regret very much not to have been of service, and if there is anything that I can do I will be glad.
Yours sincerely,
