My dear Miss Addams, --

Please find enclosed list of members present at our W.I.L.P.F. meetings at Lincoln Center.

A number of friends who doubtless with a little solicitation would join our ranks were among those attending -- Mrs Packard, who used to be a member, Mrs Bayard Holmes, Miss Lackersteen, Mrs Marsh and others. If we had [page 2] a membership committee to encourage enlistment I think we could have quite an “army” before long.

I have been swamped with the work entailed upon moving our household goods from their winter quarters into our new house and with the anxiety over Brent. I have felt quite incapacitated for outside duties but I hope in a short time things will be less obnoxious!

Ever yours faithfully,

Alice Dow Allinson [signed] [page 3]

Several persons whose names were not on my list I counted as members who had ↑not↓ paid dues to me but who may be on [Mrs] Karsten’s list: --

Miss Grace Abbott

[Miss] Mary McDowell

Mrs Bertram Sippy

[Mrs] Walter Fisher

Miss Abbott and Miss Preston to whom I spoke regarding dues said they had paid; (as I understood)
