Dearest One
I have been homesick for you since I left you in the hands of Mrs Ford. I do hope that the journey to Detroit will be [worthwhile], you were certainly awfully tired and I was filled with grave doubts as to our wisdom. [page 2]
I am sending you a clipping which I meant to give you on the train, it was the [miserable] Devil Baby which threw me off!
Please give my love to Miss [Paterson]. Hull-House will seem empty to me when I get back, but I shall always be grateful to you for having been in it, and am devotedly yours
